What Our Boat Owners Have to Say!
|
|
Just wanted to let you know that I've been boating all my life, about 50 years and our new deck boat is the finest boat we have ever had. I owned a bass boat for over 20 years and my wife thought I would never give it up. I did for your deck boat and I've never regretted it. It is the most comfortable fishing boat I have ever been in. I bought it from Anchor Marine in Speedwell, Tenn. and the people there were very good to my wife and I. They came to our lake and picked up my bass boat and delivered the deck boat right back in our slip decked out just the way i wanted it. At our age we cannot stay in the sun for very long so the top gives us needed shade when we need it. The most accomodating thing for a woman is the changing room. We put a porta potti in it for her to use when she needs it. That is the hardest thing for a woman on any lake is to find a place to use the bathroom so thanks again. I also have two grandchildren who some day will want to go water skiing. The are just three and four now but someday they will want to learn and this boat is equipped to do that also. Thank you for making such a great boat.

I am quite sure heads will turn when we pull up to the weigh dock in our 19 ft Hurricane. I've fished out of a lot of different types and sizes of boats, and never have found one equal to our deckboat. It is powered by a 115-4 stroke Yamaha and I can run this machine anywhere the flat boats go. With the added ability to cross open, rough water easier, quicker, and more comfortable than any flats boat. It really competes with all the bay boats on the market.

I have a 1983 Sundeck 186. It is a wonderful boat. Even though my boat is 20 years old, I don't plan on replacing it because it is still in top shape. That says a lot about GODFREY MARINE in my opinion. My wife and I have talked about our next boat when the time comes, and we're sure it will be another Hurricane.

Just wanted to take a minute and thank you for steering me to Benfields (Benfield Landing, Nebo, NC) a few weeks ago. I recently purchased a 2001 Hurricane 226 Fundeck from them. It was a wonderful experience. All boat dealerships should take interst in their customers like the Hunt family does. They represent your products very well. I am very pleased with the price, the product and the service I have received from them, especially Scoot(he knows his stuff). Most of the time people spend time complaining about experiences with encountered when buying boats, cars, etc. I wanted to spend time commending you and your dealer for a job well done. By the way, I have owned six boats over the last 25 years and the Hurricane is by far the best deck boat on the market for the money.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
We got the boat as promised on May 4 from Rockingham Boat, they have been great to deal with.....My wife and I are very happy with the boat, no problems at all.
Thanks for building the wonderful boat, the comments from the others on the lake have been fantastic.

As of August 11th it will be two years since my wife and I took delivery of our Hurricane Sundeck 217. We wanted to let you know how great the staff is at Holiday Marine in Leesburg, FL. Don and Bill made our purchase an enjoyable experience. The service after the sales is world class. Don and his wife even drove to our house in Orlando on Labor day weekend to swap out a defective stereo. Mike the service manager is first rate, and makes my trip to Leesburg for service an enjoyable one. It is because of the staff at Holiday Marine that has turned us into a life-long loyal customer.

We are crazy about the Hurricane Fundeck 226! It is absolutely perfect. It is very stable at any speed and pulls skiers easily. It is very comfortable for those evening cruises with dinner or snacks on board. The fit and finish are excellent. I have owned boats most of my life and this one is the best. We belong to the US Coast Guard Auxiliary (Molokai, Hawaii Flotilla), so we are around boats a lot of the year.

I must tell you of the good experience I had today. My 1987 Christ Craft had to go to boat heaven a few days ago.
I was driving past "Boats Unlimited" route 41 in Port Charlotte Florida.....of course, I had to stop...the sign said "closeout sale".
I must say that I was treated with the utmost respect and consideration by the folks there...so much, that today I purchased a Hurricane 237, with fishing package and assorted goodies.
My point is: the way I was treated soon became the reason I purchased there. Not only did I leave feeling well treated, but walked out with the notion that I had not just been taken advantage of...since after all, I was on the "boat death" rebound.
From John, the owner, Ken Cook..the salesperson I met first, to the 2 great guys who were placing the engine on my new Hurricane 237....I felt welcome and important.
My hat if off to Boats Unlimited.

Underway, the Hurricane FunDeck GS 211 offers the familiar ride of the Hurricane series' cathedral-inspired hull. It's stable at rest, planes in a scant three seconds, and handles smoothly and predictable in glass or chop. My test boat's 200-hp Yamaha F200 four-stroke pushed me to a top speed of 42.3 mph and purred like a kitten. Nothing fishy about that.

We anchored our Hurricane FunDeck 218 on a sandbar near Chincoteaque Island inlet. We had it enlarged then framed. It looks nice in the living room. I love my boat.

Whatever is on the day's schedule, the FunDeck 218 REF is ready for anything from bass to barbeque, with a ski run thrown in for good measure.

The design ideas keep longevity as a priority, and make us categorize the GS 202 as a smart boat that will be hauling plenty of rods and wet lifejackets many years from now.

I have recently purchased a Hurricane FunDeck GS 201 Deck Boat. I am more than satisfied. I purchased this boat for a specific use. I am a treasure hunter on weekends and any other time I can get free. This boat has all the storage room needed for equipment and stability I want.

My name is Roger Jones and I am 50 years old. I am writing to thank the Hurricane boat company for producing and designing a boat that lets me be able to go fishin' again or just boat ridin' again.
My brother Steve just purchased a fine quality FunDeck 218 Hurricane deck boat this year. I had to retire on disability due to a bad back disease. However, the way the Hurricane boat glides across the water and the way the seats are so comfortably designed for my back makes a little ride on my brother's Hurricane boat a joy to be in! In my brother Steve's and my opinion the Hurricane boats are #1! Keep up the excellent work!

Just wanted to let you know that I am thoroughly impressed with the Craftsmanship at Godfrey Marine, I picked up my boat last week and it is absolutely fabulous. Handles rough water like a dream. Seats were perfectly installed and the new instrumentation package is super. The two fishing seats are superior to what I’ve had on other boats…very well done. Thank you for being so focused on building your boats. I got a 115 horsepower motor four stroke and with it fully loaded I got 33 MPH. It just doesn’t get any better than that. Oh! My fully loaded was nine people and a baby, ice chests, etc. and a full load of fuel.

The Hurricane SunDeck 257 DC is the best value of the bunch. It has a terrific price and plenty of high-quality of features. It's the quickest to plane and has the best all-around access from the water. What prevents it from taking top honors is its 320-hp engine limit. Most of the competitors offer 375hp, or more.

We purchased new, Hurricane FunDeck GS 202 OB with a 150 Yamaha
engine from Uncle Gus Marina.
I would mention that I was the Industrial Engineering Manager for Chrysler Boat Corporation in Plano, Texas from 1964 to 1978. As an executive, I was able to test many styles and designs. So I know a bit about fiberglass boats.
I would like to compliment you on this boat design and performance. I consider it outstanding and exceptional. The well thought out cockpit, the use of quality components, excellent vinyl's and overall fit and finish are
outstanding. It's hull design, giving outstanding dryness at high speeds, is one of the best I have driven. The hydro-v hull Chrysler Boat sold was not even close to this hull. I wish we had built as good a boat as my Hurricane. I have to admit, that I cannot find one fault with this boat. Not one thing has deteriorated or faded in this hot Texas sun. The boat is
in my dock on Cedar Creek lake and exposed to the weather.
After riding in my Hurricane, my friend, Dr. Rowe, was so impressed, he
purchased [one] a couple of months ago.
Sincerely,
Donald Kelley of Trinidad,Texas

Late August 2005 we bought what may well be our last new boat - a Hurricane SunDeck 237 OB. My wife picked this boat out after much shopping and looking for better than six months at dealers in our area. It is a very good fit for us. We are in our mid 60's and both very active.
The boat has so much to offer and is well appointed. The comfortable seating and material used speaks volumes for your company. I find everything I have come across to be of high quality with this boat. We both also like the versatility for both cruising and fishing.
We were introduced to your Hurricane brand while in the Florida keys two years ago. Another couple a little older than us had their Hurricane and took us for a ride. A year later we again saw them at the same camping area. Another ride and a few months later we bought our new Hurricane.
I must admit, I kept looking at new Center Console boats. But, comfort was a big issue for us. Also not needing an offshore boat but rather inland lakes and rivers boat that could go offshore on a calm day.
We recommend taking this boat out for a test. This must be the boat of the future before its time.

I am throughly enjoying my Hurricane boat. I have had many fishing party's out and no one has had anything but nice things to say about the boat and how nice it is. This past Friday we had a group of men from Atlanta out fishing and we had winds in the upper 20s. The lake was very choppy but we were able to fish all day. The guides with the Bay Boats had to call it a day at 11:00 o'clock. We have been chosen by Shakesphere to join their pro fishing team this year so we are very excited.
Thank you and the staff at GODFREY MARINE for building a very nice boat.

“I wanted to let you know how much my family is enjoying our 2005 Hurricane GS 202. After two years of examining boats and features, we decided that the new FunDeck GS 202 had everything we were looking for. We ordered the boat through Uncle Gus’ Marina in Whitney, TX. This is a two and a half hour drive from where we live, but the Sales Director, James Selman, made it worth the drive. He took care of everything, and answered all of our questions. I would highly recommend him and his dealership to anyone.
We are now into our second season with the boat. It has performed flawlessly and I receive compliments on it everywhere it goes. We have started gathering wonderful family memories and great times on our boat. The greatest thing about my boat is the versatility. Last week we were on the lake by 6:00 a.m. We fished until the livewell was full of sandbass, stowed the fishing seats and fishing poles, and began tubing and swimming. We did not get off the lake until about 1:00 p.m. I have finally found activities that will keep my four year old and seven year old occupied for hours without complaining. Thanks!”

About one year ago I purchased used 1995 Hurricane FunDeck. This boat needed a full dose of TLC and restoration. I contacted you and a wonderful lady returned my request for information on this boats heritage and color scheme. After 3 months of intensive work this boat turned out beautiful thanks to the great help and support of Godfrey Marine.
As a result of this experience, I sold my new 2006 pontoon boat, which was featured in July’s PDB (Pontoon & Deck Boat) magazine on page 24 and committed to buying my first new Hurricane deck boat. I searched for several weeks, attended the Orlando Boat show and ran into Rich Jr. from Gerry’s Marine in New Smyrna Beach Florida. I had already met him several weeks earlier at his dealership. As a result of his great customer service and general charisma, the 40 mile proximity to my home and the fact that he is a hurricane and Sweetwater dealer, I decided to buy my new 2006 Fun Deck 226REF with a Yamaha 115 4 stoke and Aluminum Magic Tilt tandem axel trailer.
I can hardly express how wonderful this boat is in every aspect, comfort, room, Speed, economy and handling. I look forward to many many years of enjoyment from this boat knowing that it is backed by a great manufacturer with super caring and proud employees and super dealer that will be there if I ever need something repaired.
Regards,
Craig Horton

Making the decision to go with this Hurricane was the best decision we’ve made on the water. The smooth ride over rough water and the handling is the best. Room to move around and enjoy as well as fishing and water skiing takes in all of the families activities and this boat can do it all. A big thank you to Mike’s Marina in Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada for their excellent and personal touch in sales and service as well as all the tips.

I took my boat to my cottage over the long weekend (here in Canada) about a 600 mile ride through the mountain from Edmonton Alberta to Kelowna British Columbia. I was impressed by the boat’s performance its power, handling and particularly its smoothness in taking the wake dead on. Compared to my former 2000 eclipse Wellcraft, this one is like a Cadillac as opposed to a Chevrolet. The upholstery and all finishes are top notch not to mention the sound system.
You guys put out a good product. I think this could very well be the best boat I’ve owned. I’m anxious to see how it performs with a skier, a wake-boarder or tube behind.
