Godfrey Marine offers an extensive line of deck boats that includes both open-deck and full-windshield models in the Hurricane series. One of the most popular and versatile boats in its line is the FunDeck 201. This 20-foot do-it-all boat is perfect choice for the active family. With engine
options up to a 260-hp I/O, it can be a powerful family ski machine
and with seating for up to 10, there's no need to leave anyone on
the dock between runs. The expansive forward deck and twin
nonskid coated rear swim platforms also make
it a prime candidate for swim parties, since there are
boarding ladders and beefy grab rails on both bow and
stern. The wraparound cockpit lounge, double-wide helm seat and forward lounges provide plenty of room for entertaining afloat. Use the built-in wet bar to prepare your guest a drink and snack, then serve it on the removable cockpit table. The anglers in the family aren't forgotten
either, since the 201 can be equipped with a complete fishing
package and includes a pair of bow fishing seats, rod holders, a
livewell with a pump, a trolling motor plug and an extra battery
tray.
Like other FunDeck models, the 201 rides on a
transitional V-hull designed for rapid planning and greater stability
during acceleration. This unique hull shape provides the wave-softening qualities
of a traditional deep-V but eliminates the rolling
instability and drag often associated with these designs. The 201 is backed by a five year hull warranty and a three year warranties on the upholstery and carpet. Interior seating is covered in heavy-duty expanded vinyl and utilizes a proprietary mounting system that facilitates removal of all upholstery for cleaning or repair. Equally easy to service is the engine, which can be accessed by lifting a one-peice engine cover. The engine compartment is not only fully gelcoated, it is also finished with anodized aluminum plating. A 52-gallon fuel capacity provides the 201 with plenty of range and an all day boating capability. Factoring its combination of seating, storage and versatile performance against its length of 20 feet and dry weight of around 2400 pounds, the 201 might well be the most boat you can fit in your garage and tow with your family sedan. |
