T ake comfort to a new place with the Aqua Patio 240 Pontoon boat. Think of a '57 Chevy that cruises the shoreline instead of Main Street.

The supple upholstery and sewn-in accent panels are reminiscent of the tuck and roll seats of autos in the golden era. Rounded corners in the lounge area provide great comfort. We especially liked the arrangement of the seating. It forms two conversation pits, one forward and one aft. Both give the captain a bird's eye view of the party in progress. Outside, clean lines attractive anodized aluminum rails and rounded bow offer a distinctive look shared by few other pontoons. The 25-inch-diameter tubes are compartmentalized to provide flotation in case one section is punctured.

Stainless-steel fasteners, waterproof below-deck wiring connectors and super-strong rail support brackets will keep the fit and finish feeling and looking new for years.

The fixed ladder at the stern entry gate is easy to deploy on deck or in the water. Looking elsewhere, we look special note of the fiberglass helm station and the handy sink and cooler compartment all in one. The helm, by the way, is classy and neatly laid out for rnaximum view of all gauges. Adjustable, reclining helm seat, tilt wheel and well planned layout earns the "Ideal" rating for helm ergonomics. Hydraulic steering is optional on pontoons manufactured by Godfrey.
